CoachingTemplates

Templates

Templates let you create reusable training plans that you can apply to any client. Build once, use many times.

Templates are a coaching feature, available on web only.

Why Use Templates

Instead of creating plans from scratch for each client, templates let you:

  • Build structured multi-week training blocks
  • Maintain consistency across clients with similar goals
  • Save time by reusing proven programmes
  • Customise templates when applying to individual clients
  • Let you train more clients with less effort

Creating a Template

Go to Templates

Navigate to Coaching → Templates from the sidebar.

Create new template

Click New Template and give it a name (e.g., “4-Week Strength Block”).

Add weeks

Templates are organised by weeks. Add as many weeks as your programme needs.

Add workouts to days

Add workouts to specific days within each week. You can use existing coaching workout.

Save the template

Once your template is complete, save it for future use.

Template Structure

Templates use a week-based structure:

  • Weeks — Each template can have multiple weeks
  • Days — Each week has 7 days
  • Workouts — Workouts scheduled on specific days
  • Notes — Optional notes for specific days

Design templates with flexibility in mind. You can adjust when you apply them to a client.

Applying Templates to Clients

Enter Coach Mode

Switch to Coach Mode to view your client’s planner.

Open the template

Go to Templates and select the template you want to apply.

Choose start date

Pick the date when the template should begin on the client’s calendar.

Apply

The template’s activities will be added to your client’s planner starting from the selected date.

Customizing During Application

When applying a template, you can:

  • Adjust the start date to align with the client’s schedule

Managing Templates

Edit a Template

Open an existing template to modify its structure, add or remove workouts, or update the week layout.

Duplicate a Template

Create a copy of an existing template to use as a starting point for a new template.

Delete a Template

Remove templates you no longer need. This doesn’t affect clients who already have the template applied.

Best Practices

  • Name templates clearly — Use descriptive names like “Beginner Boulder Block” or “Competition Peaking Phase”
  • Include rest days — Mark rest days in your templates for complete programmes
  • Add notes — Include coaching notes for specific days to guide clients
  • Test first — Apply templates to a test client or yourself before using with real clients
