Logbook
The Logbook widget tracks your climbing sessions. Examples include routes, boulders, grades, locations, and ascent styles. Use it indoors or outdoors to build a complete picture of your climbing history.
Adding a Logbook Widget
Open your workout
Navigate to the workout where you want to add climbing logging.
Add the widget
Click Add Widget and select Logbook.
Choose the type
Pick from: Route, Boulder, Route (Indoor), or Boulder (Indoor).
Keep workouts focused with one logbook type. If you need flexibility (outdoor session that might move indoors), add both Route and Route (Indoor) widgets.
Configuring Your Logbook
Go to Workouts → Widgets → Logbook to configure:
- Grade Scale — YDS, French, Australian, Hueco, Font, etc.
- Entry Flags — Customise flags like “Repeat”, “Top rope”, “Exclude from stats”
Travelling overseas? Temporarily switch your grade scale, then change it back when you return. Your stats will convert automatically.

Tips
Project Sessions
- Use Attempt when going for the send
- Use Work when practicing moves or refining beta
Avoid Overlogging
- Indoor bouldering: Focus on limit and volume session highlights, not every warmup
- Outdoor: Log warmups too, tracking volume helps assess performance patterns
Consistency
- Use consistent location names for better filtering
- Use flags to keep statistics clean (track repeats, top-rope vs lead, etc.)
Next Steps
- Measures widget — Track strength and fitness metrics
