Goals

Goals help you stay focused and accountable. Training with a goal in mind provides motivation, one of the biggest factors in improvement. In Sequence, you can create goals and link workouts, notes, and milestones to track your progression.

Creating a Goal

Go to the Goals page and click New Goal.

Fill in the details

Enter the required fields:

  • Name — What you want to achieve
  • Status — Current progress state
  • Target — Specific outcome you’re aiming for
  • Category — Type of goal (strength, technique, project, etc.)

Set a deadline (optional)

Add a target date to help stay on track. This appears on your dashboard as a countdown.

Linking to Training

Goals become powerful when connected to your training data. Think of it as mind-mapping your actions.

Open a scheduled workout, tap the menu () in the top right, and select Link To Goal. Choose your goal from the list.

Open any milestone or note, tap the menu (), and select Link To Goal.

View connections

Open your goal to see all linked workouts, milestones, and notes in one place.

Accidentally linked the wrong item? Open the workout, note, or milestone and select Unlink Goal from the menu.

Viewing Goal Progress

When viewing a goal, you can see all linked items and track your progress toward completion.

You can also unlink items directly from the goal view if needed.
