Guides & AdviceUsing the AssistantPlan Around Your Schedule

Plan Around Your Schedule

Most training plans assume a week that never changes. Real weeks have work trips, weekends at the crag and days you can’t train. The assistant can move your sessions around those days, and remember the ones that come up every week.

A One-Off Trip or Busy Week

Tell the assistant which days are affected and what you’d like to keep:

I’m away this weekend. Move those sessions.

I’m away from 14 to 17 November. Fit the important sessions into the days before and after.

It proposes moving the sessions, and may suggest dropping a lower-priority one if the week gets crowded. Read the proposal, click Adjust if the days don’t suit, then apply it.

If the trip is something you’ll train for, such as a climbing trip, add it as a Trip event first, or ask the assistant to add it. Events help it plan the weeks before and after, not just the days you’re away. See Prepare for a Goal or Event.

Days You Can Never Train

If a day is off-limits every week, say so as a lasting fact:

From now on, I can’t train on Tuesdays.

The assistant should save this as a memory and then offer to move any Tuesday sessions. Check for Saved to memory in the chat. Once it’s saved, later conversations remember it and won’t plan on Tuesdays. If you don’t see it, add the memory yourself in Settings → Assistant. If your situation changes, say “Forget that I can’t train on Tuesdays”, or delete the memory in Settings → Assistant.

If it’s only temporary, say that instead, such as “Tuesdays might be hard for the next few weeks”. The assistant should check before saving anything.

Keeping Weekends Free

If you climb outside at weekends, ask it to “Keep my weekend free and move training to weekdays.” On web, that’s the Free my weekend chip. For a longer stretch:

Keep my weekends free for the next three weeks and move useful training to weekdays.

Planning the Week Ahead

Start with “Help me plan training around my schedule next week.” (the Plan around my week chip on web). Tell it which days you’re free and for how long, and it proposes a week that fits.

Rest Days

When the assistant adds or moves sessions, it won’t put one on a rest day. It can mark a day as rest or clear a rest day if you ask. If what you ask for clashes with a rest day, it asks which to change rather than overriding it.

Applying a training plan works differently. The plan is merged into your planner as it would be if you applied it yourself, so its sessions can land on existing rest days. Only days you’ve told the assistant you can’t train on are kept clear. Check the planner after applying a plan.
