Guides & Advice
The rest of these docs explain what each feature does. These guides are task-based: each one takes a job climbers and coaches do regularly and shows how to get it done in Sequence.
Planning Your Training
- Plan a Training Block — Go from an empty planner to a multi-week block, and keep it on track
- Prepare for a Trip or Comp — Plan towards a date, then record how it went
Tracking Progress
- Track Finger Strength — Set up a repeatable test and follow your progress between tests
Getting Set Up
- Move to Sequence — Bring your plans and history across from a spreadsheet, PDF or another app
Coaching
- Onboard a New Client — Set up a client so training is waiting on their first login
Using the Assistant
How to use the Sequence Assistant to review and adjust your training. Each guide has prompts you can copy and adapt. If you haven’t used the assistant yet, read Sequence Assistant first to turn it on and learn how proposals work.
- Getting Better Answers — Word requests so you get useful replies and small, sensible proposals
- Lighten a Heavy Week — Ease off when you’re tired, sore or short on time, without losing your key sessions
- Plan Around Your Schedule — Work training around trips, busy weeks and days you can never train
- Prepare for a Goal or Event — Shape the next few weeks around a project, trip or competition
- Review Your Training — Ask about your load, recovery, tests, exercises and logbook
- Training With a Niggle or Injury — What the assistant will and won’t do when something hurts
- Coaching With the Assistant — Review and adjust a client’s plan, and how consent, memories and usage work
