Review Your Training

If you’ve been logging for a while, you have plenty of data and not much time to dig through it. The assistant can read it for you and tell you what stands out. These are questions, so nothing changes in your plan unless you ask for it.

What You Can Ask About

These questions work well to start with. Depending on the data you have, some appear as suggestions in a new conversation, and on web as short chips above the message box. You can also type them yourself:

Web chipQuestion
Check recoveryReview my recent training and recovery signals.
Compare testsCompare my recent test results and explain the trend.
Exercise progressHow are my main exercises progressing?
Review measuresWhat stands out in the measures I have been recording?
Review my logbookWhat stands out in my logbook recently, and how does it relate to my goals?
Review milestonesReview my recent notes and milestones and tell me what stands out.

Load and Recovery

The assistant reads your weekly training signals for up to the last 12 weeks: sessions completed, rest days, workload, and the same feeling, motivation, performance and RPE scores shown on your dashboard. Good questions include:

Based on what I’ve actually done recently, do I need more recovery next week?

How has my training load and recovery looked over the last six weeks?

These answers are only as good as your logging. Recording those scores after each session gives the assistant much more to go on.

Tests and Exercises

For tests, ask it to compare results over time. For exercises, ask about one by name:

How is my max hang progressing?

It reads the sets you logged on completed sessions, including personal bests and top sets, going back up to two years.

Logbook

The assistant reads your route and boulder logbooks, including ascents synced from theCrag. It can look at sends by style, your hardest sends, your grade pyramid and individual entries:

What have I been climbing in my bouldering logbook lately?

Is my grade pyramid solid enough to start trying 7A?

A Single Session

To ask about one completed workout, open its menu on the web planner and click Ask Assistant. The message asks the assistant to review the session and explain what it suggests for your training. For a session marked incomplete, it asks for help deciding what to adjust next.

Checking Its Sources

Under each reply, sources checked lists what the assistant read to answer. If a number looks wrong, open the source to check it. If it really is wrong, give the reply a thumbs down with Incorrect information so the Sequence team can look at it.
